Jack & Jill's Childcare Goosewell, Plymstock

Jack & Jill's Childcare Goosewell is situated within Goosewell Academy and opened in 2012, it operates from a designated classroom within the School. The site has a large bright play room and smaller activity area with separate toilets leading off the larger room. There is a secure outdoor play area to the front of the classroom which allows children immediate access to the space allowing free flow play throughout the day. The setting also has an open invitation from the school to use all the facilities including the use of the school field, play ground, hall and access to the foundation unit through an interior door.

We have close links with the school along with other providers and schools in the local area. We work collaboratively and alongside the Jack and Jill's Radford site based a short walk away. 

Children start at Goosewell the first full academic year before they start school. Teaching and Learning is tailored to children's needs and we work closely with our families to attain the best possible outcome for every child. A rich and varied learning environment is created both indoors and outdoors.

The setting is registered for 24 children aged from 3 years, primarily to prepare them for entry into school.

The staff team consists of 4 experienced dedicated staff members who are qualified to a minimum of NVQ III in childcare along with 1 staff member holding a Degree in Early Childhood studies.
