Jack & Jill's Childcare Goosewell, Plymstock

Jack & Jill's Childcare Goosewell is a well-established preschool setting, run by a small, dedicated staff team with many years of experience. We are based within Goosewell Academy.

As a charity we have supported our service and civilian families for 43 years and we will continue to do so for many more.

We provide high quality childcare in a safe and stimulating environment. Learning through play is at the heart of all that we do, and we focus on preparing our children for their future learning by developing children’s key areas of personal, social and emotional development as well as their communication and language skills in readiness for school.

Our large bright classroom is inviting and promotes engagement of learning, this leads out to our free flow secure garden area where children are able to explore, in our quiet craft area off of the main classroom children are able to express their creative sides.

We have our own toilets to promote independence which is vital for personal development.

These areas provide many opportunities for your child to explore, engage and gain the confidence needed to prepare them for their next chapter in their education.

The advantage of being set within the main school environment ensures many extra opportunities such as personalised and seamless transitions into the primary school when the time comes. We are fortunate enough to be able to access the school facilities throughout the day this includes the school hall where we eat our hot lunch, the playground, the field as well as the reception outdoor area, school staff are welcoming and friendly to the pre school children and allow them to feel safe and secure within the main school environment.

Your child will be able to join us one full school academic year before they start primary school, with an automatic through flow up to us if your child is at our Jack and Jill’s Radford setting a few minutes’ walk away, who cater for a younger age group.

The setting is registered for 24 children aged from 3 years.

The staff team consists of 5 experienced dedicated staff members who are qualified to a minimum of NVQ III in childcare along with 1 staff member holding a Degree in Early Childhood studies. 

Jack & Jill' Goosewell works collaboratively and alongside the Jack & Jill's Radford setting based a short walk away.
